POV vs. NPOV contrasts, English vs. Italian Wikipedias
[edit]Admin user:Awiseman contends that writing "gifted" and "astonishing" are opinions. Probably they are. But look what the Italian Wikipedia has to say of this notable musician:
- "Gian Piero Reverberi ...è uno dei personaggi più noti e qualificati del panorama musicale italiano. Fratello di Gian Franco Reverberi, anche lui famoso musicista e compositore."
- Translation: "Gian Piero Reverberi ..is one of the most remarkable and qualified characters of the Italian musical panorama. Brother of Gian Franco Reverberi, also a famous musician and composer."
An Italian Admin could also consider such remarks as being biased, but that has not happened. I'll obligue and just say that he is prolific, which is not just my opinion, it's an undeniable fact. Regards, --AVM (talk) 23:06, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- You can't use other wikipedias as sources for stuff like that. "Gifted" and "astonishing" can't be used without a reliable source using them. --AW (talk) 19:50, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Discography Query
[edit]How is it possible that there is an entry, '1997 – The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe (with Robert Mellin)', when Mr Mellin died some years earlier? Was it a re-release? The theme and incidental music referred to, a collaboration by Robert Mellin and Gian-Piero Reverberi, came out in the 1960s to accompany a Franco-London Films TV series, the programmes being released in the USA with quite different music. None of the entries in the list has a citation, I notice. Humboles (talk) 01:39, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
