Why does the article call him a "journalist"? If the reason is, that he started the ''The Herald of Gospel Liberty'' in 1808, which he claimed (in his autobiography) to be "the world's first religious newspaper", then that does not suffice to call him a journalist. Many religious leaders published religious magagzins. That does not make them journalists. Is there any other indication that he was a journalist, aside of being a clergyman? Journalist?

Why does the article call him a "journalist"? If the reason is, that he started the The Herald of Gospel Liberty in 1808, which he claimed (in his autobiography) to be "the world's first religious newspaper", then that does not suffice to call him a journalist. Many religious leaders published religious magagzins. That does not make them journalists. Is there any other indication that he was a journalist, aside of being a clergyman? Physician?

Did he have a medical degree from somewhere? Was he involved in a medical practice in some sense? If not, why is he called a physician? Mendelo (talk) 17:26, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
