Team Zero Percent

Team Zero Percent (stylized as Team 0%) is a project dedicated towards finishing every user-made level in Super Mario Maker and Super Mario Maker 2[1]. As of March 2024, the Discord server had more than 10,000 people.

The project is trying to beat the last levels with a completion rate of zero percent (meaning nobody has successfully completed the level since its upload date) before the Wii U and 3DS online servers shut down in April 2024.

History

The project has been small and kept quiet until around 2023-2024, when Nintendo announced the closure of their online services for the Wii U and 3DS, including Super Mario Maker. In March 2021, Nintendo suspended uploads to Super Mario Maker, making it achievable to clear every level. Since then, dedicated players joined the effort to not leave any level uncleared after the shutdown, including the most challenging ones.

After clearing Super Mario Maker, Team Zero Percent plans to continue clearing all levels in Super Mario Maker 2.

As of March 2024, less than a thousand levels remain uncleared in Super Mario Maker.

Notable Accomplishments

TODO. We want a table, but which fields do we want?

Things we need: - Level name - Date the level was uploaded - Date the level was cleared

Do we want to include? - Total attempts - Country - Style - Timer - Level style (NSMBU/SMW/NSMB?)
