That's fine. I was closing discussions on subpages of WT:VA5 (huge backlog) and used WP:RATER to add the |vital= parameter to talk pages, but unfortunately the Rater tool does not allow me to supply a custom edit summary to explain what I was doing. feminist🇭🇰🇺🇦 (talk) 14:11, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you for acting as closer at this discussion. I'm a bit perplexed, however, by the close. You counted the votes 5-3, but reading the discussion, this is not the case:

Oppose:

User:Awesome Aasim (supported status quo, or 911)

Thanks for bringing up the opinion of Awesome Aasim, I did misinterpret his comment supporting the move. I have updated my closure to reflect that.
Indeed, consensus is not vote-counting. That is why I also considered the strength of the arguments in my closure. As I stated in my closure, the "Oppose" arguments cited WP:NATURAL, but failed to make a case for why the use of an alternative name should be preferred over WP:PARENDIS for the article. Awesome Aasim in particular did not explain at all why he chose to Oppose having the disambiguation in the title. Next time, when you make that many proposals at once, please make them subsections of one big talk page section. This is called a batch proposal.
