Adam Shareef Umar (Template:Lang-dv) is a Maldivian politician who is currently the Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works.[1]
Education
Shareef obtained a Master's degree in Education from the University of East Anglia.[2]
Career
He served as Minister of Defense and National Security during the presidency of Abdulla Yameen.[3] Prior to that, he served as the Minister of State for Education from 2014 to 2015.[4]
He was also a Special Envoy of President Yameen.[5]
He is currently the 19th Parliament Member for the Madduvari Constituency since 2019.[6] He is also the Deputy Leader of the People's National Congress (PNC).[7]
