The 2023–24 New York Islanders season is the 52nd season in the franchise's history.[1] It is their third season in UBS Arena.[2]

On January 20, 2024, the Islanders, who had a 19–15–11 record and were out of playoff contention, fired head coach Lane Lambert,[3] and replaced him with Patrick Roy.[4]

The Islanders participated in the 2024 NHL Stadium Series at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, where they hosted the New York Rangers on February 18,[5] losing the game 6–5 in overtime.[6]
