Akbarabad (Template:Lang-fa)[a] is a city in the Central District of Kavar County, Fars province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 5,837 in 1,222 households, when it was a village in Kavar Rural District of the former Kavar District of Shiraz County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 6,133 people in 1,531 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Kavar County.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 5,817 people in 1,629 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
After the census, the village of Akbarabad was elevated to the status of a city.[4]
