"Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij" founded in 1946?

This article started off as a translation, and i definitely need to do further research into this intresting vessel, and the companies behind it. The Dutch wikipedia for the ship states that "Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij" has built this ship, yet they werent founded until 1946. (According to the english wiki) - The Dutch wiki refers to the company being existant from "1894 - 1979" - yet the english wikipedia has no mention of an 1894 company.

Is this simply an issue with the NDSM page or is it possibly refering to an older company? The Dutch article for NDSM refers no mention to a seperate company. Unbreakify (talk) 12:05, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
