Espressif Systems is a Shanghai based Electronics company that makes Microcontroller chips and boards such as the ESP8266 and the ESP32. Most of the chips have WiFi and/or Bluetooth capabilities. They also create the Operating Systems for the chips they sell. There are currently multiple drivers that you can download that makes the ESP32/8266 compatible with the Arduino IDE.
