Unexplained controversy

Myself and some other editors were puzzled about the controversy surrounding the deletion discussions, since the subject seems to clearly pass WP:GNG. I thought I would comment that it appears that there was a long and bitter public battle between Akash and his brother over who would take over the family business, which ultimately ended in Akash's favor. The tone of a number of the arguments being made for deletion seemed unusually bitter and acrimonious, so I started to wonder if there might be some participants in the discussion who have a WP:COI or close connection to the subject involved in this discussion, possibly due to some bitterness about all of the attention Akash has been getting since taking over as head of his father's company last month. Of course, there is no way of proving this and I'm certainly not accusing anyone, but I thought I would leave a note here, since if that is the case, it is very possible that there may be editors with a bias editing this page in the future. I think that extra vigilance may be required with this page and in AfD discussions. Chagropango (talk) 13:30, 8 August 2022 (UTC)

Most of the editors with experience of years of editing have agreed that this does not pass WP:GNG and violates WP:NOINHERITED. You can continue discussion on the main article which is at Talk:Mukesh Ambani#Akash Ambani is now Chairman of Reliance Jio but without these baseless and bad faith accusations. >>> Extorc.talk 18:43, 8 August 2022 (UTC)

I'm guessing there is either some anti-wealth or anti-this-family bias going on. Wikipedia has gotten more than a few hard-core anti-capitalists who don't think being a chairman of a major corporation implies notability. Jclemens (talk) 21:45, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
