Staveley is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated 4 miles north of Knaresborough and near the A1 road motorway.
Staveley is home to many local attractions and is a beautiful village that captures the community aspect of rural living. The village has the following unique aspects: 1) Martin's Pond: Situated at the end of Lowfield Lane, this pond sits at the bottom of the abandoned railway tracks and has an abundance of wild life. 2) The Royal Oak Pub: Warm, friendly, good food, reasonable prices - this pub highlights the attractions of Yorkshire living. 3) The Railway Line: Abandoned for several years, the railway track offers a unique walk elevated through wildlife, whilst capturing the peaceful bliss of the countryside. 4) Nature Reserve: A long walk that stretches beyond Staveley. The reserve has many wild and rare species of flower and wildlife, this walk is truely magnificent in the early evening.
