==History==
On March 21, 1995, broadcasting officially began via a network of 19 analog terrestrial television transmitters (the network was to be expanded, but consent was not received). The message, apart from some broadcasts, was encoded (the encoding system mixed individual lines of the television image and the sound was distorted) - to decode it, a special decoder with a characteristic key-shaped card was required, which was changed to a normal card in 1997.

In May 2020, it was announced that Canal+ Poland was rebranding their service Canal+ in Poland by changing its name and being renamed to Canal+ Premium with the name change being approved by the KRRiT.<ref>{{cite web|title=Name change for Poland’s Canal+|url=https://www.broadbandtvnews.com/2020/04/24/name-change-for-polands-canal/|website=Broadband TV News|date=April 24, 2020|access-date=May 18, 2024}}</ref>
