National politicians of other countries and organizations (Foreign political dignitaries)

The foreign guest list changed significantly for the King's Coronation compared to the Queen's one in 1953: Traditionally, foreign sovereign monarchs have not attended British coronations, instead being represented by non-reigning royals or other figures in their place; however, for this ceremony, sixteen reigning monarchs and several non-reigning monarchs were in attendance at the coronation - along with dozens of other royals.[124].

Official representatives from at least 178 countries, including 174 UN member states, three UN observer states and Kosovo (whose declaration of independence is recognised by the United Kingdom), confirmed their attendance, with others sending their ambassadors. Among them including over 100 heads of state[125], 15 governors and 40 heads of government.[citation needed]
