Vipul Mehta[1] (born July 8, 1975) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer known for his work in Gujarati, Marathi, and Hindi cinema. Born in Mumbai,India, Mehta has made significant contributions to both regional and national film industries.[2]

Early life and background

Vipul Mehta was born and raised in Mumbai. Passionate about storytelling and the performing arts from a young age, he pursued higher education at the University of Mumbai.

Personal Life

Vipul Mehta is married to Tejal Mehta. The couple has a son, Hitaarth Mehta, who is also pursuing a career in filmmaking.

Career

Mehta began his career in the Gujarati film industry, quickly establishing himself as a talented director and writer. His directorial ventures include notable Gujarati films such as Best of Luck Lalu[3] and Chal Jeevi Laiye.[4] Chal Jeevi Laiye received widespread acclaim for its engaging storyline and strong performances, becoming one of the highest-grossing Gujarati film of all time.

Expanding his horizons, Mehta directed the Marathi film Ole Aale, showcasing his versatility and ability to resonate with audiences across different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

In 2023, Vipul Mehta made his Bollywood debut with the film Kanjoos Makhichoos.[5][6][7] The movie marked his entry into the mainstream Hindi film industry, where he continued to garner appreciation for his unique narrative style and directorial prowess.
