Leanne Mohamad is a British-Palestinian public speaker who is best known for being an independent candidate for the consistency of Ilford North in the 2024 general election, finishing second to Labour's Wes Streeting, the incumbent MP.[1] She advertised herself as a protest candidate against Labour's stance on the Israel–Hamas war and appealed to the constituency's Muslim population, and received endorsements from independent candidate Jeremy Corbyn and musician Roger Waters.
