Welcome to the Valley Rail Project Page! For discussion about this page, visit the talk page.

Welcome

This page, for people who may have accidentally stumbled upon it, is a page dedicated to updating information related to the San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission (SJRRC) and Amtrak California joint venture project titled "Valley Rail." Below you will find a table that you may edit, to show progress within the project.

Why do we need to do this?

When SJRRC and Amtrak California came out with the plan, it was originally interpreted as a standalone project, but now, as it has moved forward, the plan has been integrated to the SJRCC as a joint funded, single-owner plan. This means that all information related to the project is now obsolete, and someone must update it.

How can I contribute?

When viewing the table, look for stations labeled with " Not done" and visit their pages. When viewing the page, Search for the rail table. It looks a bit like this:

Preceding station Altamont Corridor Express Following station
Station Name San Jose – Natomas Station Name
Station Name
Opens Year

Opens Year
Valley Rail Station Name
Opens Year
toward Modesto or Ceres
Station Name Station Name

Preceding station Amtrak Following station

When viewing these tables, you want to search for "Valley Rail." You can identify this rail with either the center text or the brownish color that proceeds and follows the text. This section is to be deleted and replaced by Altamont Corridor Express, following the map you can find here, and the Amtrak section is to remain untouched.
