The Ōtautahi Christchurch monthly meetups are a chance for Wiki people (Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikisource, and so on) to get together. Everybody's welcome, beginners or experienced.

  • The Pedal Pusher, at 286 Lincoln Road, Addington.
  • 18:00–20:00 Sunday 1 September 2024

Note: The venue can cater to a wide variety of dietary requirements, including vegan and vegetarian options. If you are considering consuming alcohol please ensure you have a safe way of getting home that does not involve driving.

The venue is accessible by bus. You can use the MetroInfo Journey Planner to find your best route. From the Bus Interchange take the number 7 to Halswell. There is also Route 120 that goes between Burnside and Spreydon, though this is less frequent.

The venue does not have a dedicated place to park cars, however there is on-street parking available along Lincoln Road. Despite the venue's name, there does not appear to be any bicycle parking available.

Time/Venue discussion

We will confirm the time and date once we know a bit more about everyone's availability. If you have any comments about why you can/cannot attend you can make them here:

  • I have a certain high-profile SGM to attend on Sunday so can only attend Saturday. David Palmer//cloventt (talk)
  • cloventt: Schwede66 will be in Christchurch this weeekend – shall we all get together Sunday evening for a Wiki catch-up? I see you are both busy on Sunday daytime. MurielMary (talk) 03:09, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If we want to do that than we need to consider a diffrent location instead of Tūranga Central Library. I don't mind which suburb the meetup will be held, but I suggest the meetup would be in an establishment similar to The Pedal Pusher in Addington. I'll let others comment on the location. Yes good point. Happy with The Pedal Pusher. MurielMary (talk) 02:59, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just heard from a reliable source that they are under new management. I'm eager to see what's changed and what's stayed the same. Alexeyevitch(talk) 08:35, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
