He started his criminal career as a mercenary when he was hired to kill the original Spider-Woman. Some time after failing to accomplish this, he fought the Fantastic Four and Iron Man (Jim Rhodes). Subsequently, Flying Tiger was hired to kill businessmen Regis Fussky but was stopped by Iron Man.
