This article covers the history of Eastern Europe from early hominids to modern day.

Paleolithic

The one of the first culture to develop in Eastern Europe would be that of the Szeleta Culture that existed between the Middle Paleolithic and Upper Paleolithic periods in Austria, Moravia, northern Hungary and southern Poland.[1]
