Ntim was a member of the Busia-Danquah, a precursor to today's New Patriotic Party. As a founding member, he has served the NPP in various positions including as Vice Chairperson between 2001 and 2005. In July 2022, Ntim was elected National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party obtaining 4014 votes to beat his closest contender, Stephen Asamoah Boateng who got 1010 votes. Other contestants in the election were Kwabena Abankwa Yeboah, Christopher Ameyaw Ekumfi, Gifty Asantewa Ayeh, Sammy Crabbe and Akwasi Osei Adjei. Stephen Ayensu Ntim is a Ghanaian Software Engineer, Politician and National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party.[1] He is also the Board Chairman of the National Petroleum Authority. Until his appointment to the board of NPA, he was National Chairperson for the Lands Commission.

Education

Ntim had his GCE O level education at Asanteman Secondary School in Kumasi in 1997. He proceeded to the Navrongo Secondary School in the Upper East Region for his A level education and completed in 1979.[2]He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Linguistics which he earned in 1984 from the University of Ghana. He also studied at the University of Minnesota, U.S, where he obtained MBA in Management Information Systems in 1991. Ntim also holds higher Diploma in French Studies from the National University of Ivory Coast.[3]He also trained as a programmer and analyst/analyst at Saint Paul Fire and Marine, Minnesota, USA.
