Jacob Timothy Wallis Simons[1] is a British journalist, and editor of The Jewish Chronicle since December 2021.[2]

Born in London, he graduated with a first class degree in English from St Peter's College, Oxford, before completing a PhD in creative writing at the University of East Anglia in 2009.[3]

He has written four novels,[4] including The English German Girl, which won the Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize in 2011.[5]

After the "murky takeover in 2020", The Jewish Chronicle's reporting became increasingly sensationalist under the stewardship of Wallis Simons.[6][7]
