Creepy Nuts is a Japanese hip hop duo consisting of DJ Matsunaga and R-Shitei. They made their major label debut in 2017.[2]
Their single "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born" was released on January 7, 2024, as the opening theme for the second season of the anime series Mashle: Magic and Muscles. It topped the Billboard Japan Hot 100 for eight consecutive weeks,[3] becoming the duo's first number-one single on the chart as lead artists.[4] It was also a worldwide hit, reaching number eight on the Billboard Global 200.[5]
The duo performed the opening and ending themes for the 2022 animated series Call of the Night and made a cameo appearance in the anime's sixth episode.[6]
Several songs have been certified by the Recording Industry Association of Japan in the streaming category, including "Nobishiro," which has been certified platinum.[7]
