== Confusing instructions for IP who wants to upload free image == |

I'm an admin but after seeing a post at Wikipedia:Help desk#Uploading images without an account. I tried logging out and imagine I wanted a free image uploaded at Wikipedia:Files for upload. First click "Make a new request". The instructions now include "Files for Upload was created to allow unregistered users or registered users who aren't autoconfirmed to add new files to Wikipedia". Then click "The image is free and I'm not autoconfirmed". The instructions now include "As you have a Wikipedia account you can login to the Wikimedia Commons even if you're not autoconfirmed." But I don't have an account in this scenario and cannot log in to Commons. Am I missing something? PrimeHunter (talk) 01:38, 25 December 2023 (UTC) |

Tawhid. He began his career in 2004, contributing to various print newspapers that served the local and regional communities. His work has appeared in notable publications, including Daily Sylhet Protidin, Daily Sylhet Bani, Daily Jalalabad, and Daily Alokito Sylhet. In 2010, he took a significant step by launching his own weekly newspaper, Apurbo Sylhet. This venture marked a turning point in his career, allowing him to carve out a niche as a voice for the community. |

Currently, Tawhidul serves as the editor of NewsChamber24.com, an online news portal that has been registered with the Ministry of Information since 2015. Under his leadership, the portal has become a vital source of news and information, focusing on transparency, integrity, and community-centric journalism. Tawhidul's commitment to journalistic ethics is evident in his approach to reporting, often prioritizing the truth over sensationalism. |

== Thoughts on a Robot Clerk? == |
In addition to his editorial role, Tawhidul is actively involved in various press organizations. He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Sylhet Online Press Club and has previously held the position of IT Secretary at the Kanaighat Press Club. His dedication to the profession has not come without its challenges. In 2011, Tawhidul faced significant adversity when a controversial report led to his newspaper being set on fire. This incident tested his resolve but ultimately reinforced his commitment to courageous and principled journalism. |
Hi all, I've been reviewing requests at Files for Upload page for a few weeks now and I believe having a bot to help manage things and make the process smoother for both reviewers and requesters.. I would like to gain consensus on such a clerk to see if it's in the best interests of FFU. The tasks I have planned for it are as follows below. |
Beyond his journalistic pursuits, Tawhidul has also ventured into public service. In 2016, he ran for the position of Chairman of the Jhingabari Union Parishad, showcasing his desire to effect change within his community. More recently, in 2024, he prepared to run for Vice Chairman of the Kanaighat Upazila Parishad. However, he ultimately decided to withdraw from the race due to concerns regarding the fairness of the electoral process. This decision reflects his principled stance on governance and his commitment to the integrity of democratic practices. |
* Applying a backlog template to the page when there are more than 4-5 requests without a hold, that are less than 7 days old. |
* Informing autoconfirmed users who make a request on this page that they are free to upload their files themselves, but not changing the status of the request in case more help is needed. |
* (Optional) Informing registered users who make a request on FFU, who have a request with a free content license, that they may upload their own image, as long as the license is correct, to Commons. (Likely using ffu) |
* (Optional) Informing users of the robot clerk comment for tasks 2 and 3 on the requestor's talk page. |
* (Optional) Adding a request for a Non-free use rationale if none is provided for a request that has a non-free license in their request. This would require Task 4. |
Tawhidul is also an accomplished author, having published two noteworthy books. His first book, “Kanaighat Index and Alokito Kanaighat,” was released in 2011 and provided valuable insights into local culture and history. His second book, “Neglect in the Mother Tongue,” published in 2016, addresses the challenges faced by native languages in the face of globalization and modernization. These works not only highlight his literary talent but also his deep concern for cultural preservation and education. |

*LemonSlushie Hi. I came here from the bot's BRFA. It is not a policy nor guideline, but while a complete code is not necessary, it is a good idea at least some skeleton code should be ready before the BRFA. With a primary code, you will realise what variations/difference scenarios the bot would face. This would also make easier for you to respond to the questions asked at the BRFA. I recommend putting the BRFA on hold while you work on primary draft of the code. —usernamekiran (talk) 19:37, 2 January 2024 (UTC) |
