Huỳnh Thị Thanh Thủy (born 1 July 2002) is a Vietnamese model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss International 2024, she previously was crowned Miss Vietnam 2022. Her victory as Miss International 2024 marks the second time that Vietnam won an another title in the Big Four beauty pageants.
Early life
Huỳnh Thị Thanh Thủy was born on July 1, 2002 in Da Nang. In the Da Nang Excellent Student Selection Examination for the 2019–2020 school year, she won second prize in the Vietnamese Literature contest.[1] She is currently studying English Language at the University of Foreign Language Studies, a member of the University of Da Nang system. At the same time, she also studying at University of Greenwich.[1]
Pageantry
Miss Vietnam 2022
She was crowned Miss Vietnam 2022 on December 23, 2022 at the Phu Tho Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City. She succeeded outgoing by Miss Vietnam 2020, Đỗ Thị Hà. During the pageant, she entered the top 5 of Fast Track Beauty with a Purpose and Multimedia and won the Sport award.[2]
Miss International 2024
She was announced that she is the Vietnam representative at Miss International 2024.[3] There was significant controversy surrounding Thanh Thuy’s prestigious position as Miss Vietnam, a title that has never sent any winner to pageants other than Miss World, which is considered the most prestigious beauty pageant from Vietnamese perspectives.[4] She was crowned Miss International 2024 in Tokyo, Japan, succeeding Andrea Rubio - Miss International 2023.
