Maurice "Mo" Green is the Superintendent-elect of Public Instruction of North Carolina. He was elected to that office for a four-year term in November 2024.[1]

A graduate of Duke University with both a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics and a law degree, Green previously served as Superintendent Guilford County Schools from September 2008 until his resignation in December 2018 to serve as the executive director of the Z.
