===Seat Count===
Hello,
The current count of Congress seats in the is 99. However, there are 2 independent candidates who contested without any party symbol but were aligned with Congress during the election and received support from the party. Since they contested with Congress' backing, it seems more accurate to count them as part of the Congress tally. Secondly they are still members of Congress.

When did VPP join INDIA alliance?

It has been incorrectly stated in the Infobox section that VPP is part of the INDIA alliance propelling it to 237 seats while the INDIA alliance only has 236 seats as of now because Rahul Gandhi resigned from Wayanad seat. please fix this Areeb Syed205 (talk) 14:17, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

yes, this needs to be correct. The VPP has stated that it will join neither NDA nor INDIA Dead&intp (talk) 13:24, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Membership by party

In INDIA Alliance Section KEC Leader of the party is "K. Francis George".

"Thomas Chazhikkadan" is repersenting KEC(M), he was previous MP from that party. He lost in 2024 election from Kottayam Lok sabha Constituency in Kerala. Jbt498 (talk) 01:02, 7 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Seat Count

The current count of Congress seats in the is 99. However, there are 2 independent candidates who contested without any party symbol but were aligned with Congress during the election and received support from the party. Since they contested with Congress' backing, it seems more accurate to count them as part of the Congress tally. Secondly they are still members of Congress.

  • There should be a total of 101 for Congress, instead of 99. Including these 2 independent candidates as part of the Congress tally would provide a more accurate representation of the party's strength in the Lok Sabha.
  • Those 2 Independents are Pappu Yadav and Vishal Patil are members of INC, they are just refused to get tickets, they fought as independent.
  • Pappu Yadav recently campaigned for Congress in Jharkhand election, as a party worker he was given duty from the party.[1], [2], [3], [4].

The party would have given him responsibility only if he was its member and these sources are saying the same. ZDX (User) | (Contact) 05:15, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
