"Dear Lie"
Song

Dear Lie is a pop-R&B ballad written by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and Tionne Watkins for TLC's third studio album FanMail (1999). It was produced by Babyface and released as the album's third single in the fourth quarter of 1999. Though the song managed to enter the top 30 in the Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, and Switzerland, it was widely considered a minor success, among peaking at number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100. A music video was filmed but not aired in the U.S., it was only shown in Europe. "Dear Lie" is one of the singles that did not make the cut for TLC's greatest hits album, Now and Forever: The Hits (2003).
