Orcs vs. Goblins

[edit]

Are you sure that Orcs and Goblins are the same in Middle Earth? In the movies, goblins seem smaller then the orcs, and have a different tone of voice.

They're different names for the same thing - see Orc (Middle-earth)#Orcs and goblins. Uruk-hai however were a new breed of orc. ··gracefool | 00:04, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
"Orc" is their name in Elvish and "Goblin" is their name in the Common Tongue. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.51.162.177 (talk) 21:41, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not convinced that the point merits a whole paragraph in this article, though. Say it once concisely, with a link to Orc (Middle-earth). —Tamfang (talk) 05:48, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Templates

[edit]

I don't see an issue with notability or in-universe language here and have removed these two templates. If you wish to re-add either or both please give a rationale on the talk page when you do so. Sc00baSteve (talk) 00:08, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Circular reference

[edit]

The link for the word "Gretchin", which is contained in this page, redirects to this page itself! I'd rather suggest writing an article about "Gretchin", which is the Warhammer 40.000 version of Goblinoids. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.203.12.69 (talk) 20:12, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That happens sometimes. I've fixed the loopn redirect but instead of a standalone article on Gretchin we should better deal with those in the Warhammer article first. De728631 (talk) 23:12, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
