Hi Myrealnamm! Just replying here because the pi RFD is now closed so I couldn't reply over there. Just wanted to say no worries, it wasn't a trout worthy mistake or anything. Relisting RFD's is a helpful task to take on, don't feel discouraged about doing it again the future! :) [[User:Bugghost|<span style="border-radius:3px;padding:2px 3px;background:#ffc3b3;color:#552a2a">BugGhost</span>]][[User talk:Bugghost|🦗👻]] 08:53, 29 November 2024 (UTC)

Hi--there is no point in rolling back such edits. Just leave it be and report to AIV. Rolling back gives them more pleasure and us more work. Drmies (talk) 01:07, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edits on the Saber Interactive page

Good afternoon, I have made an edit to this page about Beacon Interactive: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saber_Interactive

A few days ago I read an article about Beacon Interactive becoming the owner of Saber. Link: https://wolfsgamingblog.com/2024/03/14/saber-interactive-has-been-bought-by-itself-for-247m/ I was amazed that there is practically no information about Beacon Interactive on the Internet. It looks strange. In the article that I mentioned, there was only a link to the site: www.bizprofile.net/ and I inserted it. Sorry if I wasted your time or made a mistake. GlebMoshin (talk) 19:12, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@GlebMoshin Hello, thank you for taking your time to explain. The external link that you inserted on Saber Interactive was not suitable for Wikipedia. Profile links do not go in articles, but "official websites" can go in the External Links section of an article. You can take a look at WP:EL for more information on External Links. Thanks! Rollback

Hi Myrealnamm. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Fastily 03:46, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:53, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Varieties of English

Hi, just wondering why you have added the American English tag to the Apartment article. The article does not appear to have consistently used American English. It was only an edit a few days ago that changed spelling from storey to story after the article had been stable for a while. AusLondonder (talk) 21:49, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@AusLondonder Hi, thanks for your message! It was in this edit on the talk page where user Ivan Humphrey added the "american english" tag, which is why I added the Use American English tag onto the article. Cheers, Myrealnamm (💬Let's talk · 📜My work) 21:52, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah ok, I'm not entirely sure why they added the tag. The original version of the article by a now-banned editor didn't use any specific spellings and it appears the article was using a mix of spellings by 2006. AusLondonder (talk) 22:02, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, sorry for the late reply! For now, I think yes, we should remove the tag (like you did). There are (and will be) several appearances of "stor(e)y", and it wouldn't be consistent. What do you think we should do? Myrealnamm (💬Let's talk · 📜My work) 23:55, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Editing configuration pages

Hi there, I noticed you made an edit to Template:DatBot filters earlier. Changes to configuration pages, especially related to anything under active development, should be made with more caution. This particular edit was premature and could have caused issues if the person(s) working on the filter made experimental changes without being aware of your change. Please be more cautious when editing these kinds of pages unless you're more familiar with the current status. Thanks. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 23:20, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Daniel Quinlan Okay, got it. I will be more cautious next time modifying configuration pages. Myrealnamm (💬Let's talk · 📜My work) 23:40, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What constructive edits are applicable?

Question: How am I supposed to have my edits constructive without undo? 157.23.249.183 (talk) 20:53, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, adding "Iwerks was also considered to be an amazing cartoonist." seems to be an opinion, and not encyclopedic text, and thus not suitable for wikipedia. Avoid peacock terms. Thanks, Myrealnamm (💬Let's talk · 📜My work) 20:56, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
