Serena Brancale was born in Bari. Her father is a former footballer and her mother ran a music school.[1] She has a sister, Nicole.[2]

Her mother introduced her to the violin and piano as a child.[3] In 2011, she graduated with a degree in jazz singing from the Conservatory of Bari.[4] At the age of 26, she moved to Rome.[2]
