Question

Hello, my friend! I know we are getting into Thanksgiving vacation time, so no hurry on this, but I'm wondering if you have access to a version of this book by Leena Ahtola-Moorhouse. I believe it is only available in Finnish or Swedish, which is fine, but I'm looking for the single page catalogue entry for Self-Portrait, which is known as either Omakuva or Självporträtt, respectively. I think it's unlikely you will have access to these works, but I thought I would ask in the rare event that you do. Thanks for everything. Viriditas (talk) 23:08, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Viriditas: Hey! I've requested a copy through my library. I've said it before and I'll say it again: the folks in my interlibrary loan department are real-life magicians. I'm in a Big Ten Academic Alliance school, so their reach spreads pretty far. We'll see what they can do on this one! I'll be heading out of town for Thanksgiving to see family, so if it arrives after 11/27, it'll wait at my library until 12/2. I'll pin this section and let you know when they get back to me with some news. Bsoyka (t • c • g) 03:11, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Viriditas: Just got an email saying this one has shipped to my library! Bsoyka (t • c • g) 20:53, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- Great news. I hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving with friends and family! Viriditas (talk) 20:54, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- You as well!! Bsoyka (t • c • g) 21:09, 25 November 2024 (UTC)

Question from Thedragondemon (04:15, 27 November 2024)
how to make category from video games? --Thedragondemon (talk) 04:15, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Thedragondemon: Hey! I'm not sure what you mean by that—you may have a misunderstanding of how categories work. See Help:Categories for some more information. Bsoyka (t • c • g) 15:52, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- i figured out now. Thedragondemon (talk) 02:29, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
RS or not?
Hi. I'm wondering if Miraheze and Reddit are reliable sources. I don't mean sourcing one thing said from the website like this:
"...is a weird company[2]"
Like this. It is acknowledged that it is just an opinion of the users on the site; For example:
"...Users on Miraheze, particularly(wiki this)and(wiki that)have critized the company as weird.[2]
Thanks and bye. Spongebob796 (talk) 08:21, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
I even made a topic on a question named RS or not?. You have not replied. Answer please.Spongebob796 (talk) 13:21, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Spongebob796: Hello. You asked your question on a national holiday in the United States, and I was spending time with my family. Practically every single editor on this site is a volunteer, and there is no deadline, so patience is always appreciated. Regarding your original question, those are unreliable sources, and I wouldn't include statements like that. Your or I could personally visit a Miraheze wiki or Reddit right now and call a company weird—there's no reason for Wikipedia to use any information from such sources. Bsoyka (t • c • g) 15:57, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
Sorry. I don't live in the US so I didn't know. By the way thank you Spongebob796 (talk) 08:40, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
Question from GardenLover5000 (23:34, 28 November 2024)
Hey Ben,
How do I cite evidence? Since I don’t have any experience, can you tell me how to do that?
Thanks for your time, AK --GardenLover5000 (talk) 23:34, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
- @GardenLover5000: Hey there! I recommend going through our introduction, particularly the sections on "Referencing". Bsoyka (t • c • g) 19:17, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, thx Ben! GardenLover5000 (talk) 19:19, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
Question from Arshsijjjnelkran on WASH (12:33, 29 November 2024)
Hello why is wash written as WaSH is it a mistake should I fix it? --Arshsijjjnelkran (talk) 12:33, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Arshsijjjnelkran: It doesn't seem to be a mistake. As the lead (first paragraph) says, "WaSH" stands for "Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene". Bsoyka (t • c • g) 19:18, 29 November 2024 (UTC)

Hello I want to add a prominent person to Wikipedia Can you guild me --Limejuice Olivet (talk) 08:21, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Limejuice Olivet: Hey there! I'm actually going to point you toward my essay on why you shouldn't start an article just yet. Correctly creating articles on Wikipedia takes a decent amount of experience, and you should try to build up your skills before trying this. I know this isn't quite the answer you wanted to hear, but I hope it's one that helps you grow as a contributor to this great project. Happy editing, and reach out with whatever other questions you may have! Bsoyka (t • c • g) 16:11, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
