Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Jacketpocket! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 4 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Heinz Giegerich - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 09:53, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Heinz Giegerich has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:11, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hey, fun coincidence!

Noticed you made Aquilegia barykinae at almost the same time I made Aquilegia chaplinei! I have a couple good resources on columbines if you need anything to help you flesh out your article! Best, ~ Pbritti (talk) 13:28, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey @Pbritti! Thanks very much :) I don't have access to any special resources (other than Oxford Academic, which doesn't have a whole lot of botanical content) so that would be great! Jacketpocket (talk) 12:40, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I picked up a copy of Robert Nold's 2003 Aquilegia. It's very similar to Munz's work but has some nice updates. If you need access to anything on JSTOR, Cambridge, Nature, or anything else you can think of, I have access through the Wikipedia Library! ~ Pbritti (talk) 22:08, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, just wanted to let you know I've started work on Aquilegia hinckleyana in a userspace draft. Planning to make an article on it and the waterfall that it's endemic to. Realized that we might end up independently start working on creating the same article considering how you're burning through the genus. Not "claiming" any, but I'd also like to be the one to start the articles for Aquilegia microcentra, Aquilegia nivalis, Aquilegia oxysepala, Aquilegia pubiflora, Aquilegia scopulorum, and Aquilegia turczaninovii. Those species are ones that I currently have good offline material for, and thus feel best qualified to take responsibility for. Let me know if you wanted to take point on any or need assistance looking for material on a more obscure species.
Separately, I'd encourage you to consider getting autopatrolled as soon as you can. You definitely would be a good candidate! ~ Pbritti (talk) 02:41, 15 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for letting me know, and please do "claim" those ones! I have no particular favourites, just working my way through roughly alphabetically.
If you happen to find anything for the Pakistani endemics described by Qureshi & Chaudhri (Aquilegia baluchistanica, Aquilegia chitralensis, Aquilegia cymosa), then that would be amazing - they were definitely the hardest to scrape together a Start-class article for.
