Love Songs is a compilation album by English musician Elton John. It was released in October 1982 by John's own label The Rocket Record Company[1].

Background

This compilation mostly features John's collaborations with other lyricists than Bernie Taupin, namely Gary Osborne and Tim Rice, as Taupin and John had not worked together in the time period covered here. It was released on the heels of the successful single "Blue Eyes" which opens this collection.
