Renee holds her Guinness World Record in Atlanta, GA
  • Comment: Editor, a few issues with this draft:
    - please remove all external links from the body of the text, see WP:EXTERNAL.
    - please remove the Podcast Experiences section as that's just WP:PROMOTION and is not allowed.
    - but most importantly, the majority of your sources are not WP:INDEPENDENT of Renee as they are connected to her in some way either by being an interview or an award. To prove Renee meets the WP:NPEOPLE criteria we need to see significant coverage in independent sources that discuss her. Qcne (talk) 09:01, 11 September 2023 (UTC)

Renee Bruns (born February 21, 1984) is a disabled American female, blogger,[1] traveler,[2] activist, adventurer, and motivational speaker.[3][4][5][6][7] In 2023, she received a Guinness World Record[8] for 'most countries traveled in one year with a wheelchair.'

In her one year of travel to achieve the Guinness World Record[9][10], she traveled to 66 countries.[11][12] Throughout her lifetime, she has visited over 140 countries, all 7 continents, and all 50 US states.[13][14][15]

Early life

Renee was born in Maria Stein, Ohio and attended Marion Local Schools.[16] She was born with autosomal recessive multiple epiphyseal dysplasia - a rare skeletal disorder[17] and at an early age, she decided to visit all 50 states with her family, completing that goal in her early 20s. In 2022, she visited Antarctica and completed her goal of visiting all 7 continents.

She is working towards visiting all 195 UN recognized countries and is an active member of the travel community. She won the NomadMania 'Against All Odds' award in 2022.[20] and was a keynote speaker at Extra Ordinary Travel Fest 2024[21] in Bangkok, Thailand. She is also a TEDx speaker, having taken the stage in 2024 at TEDxTullahoma[22][23]. Renee is an active podcaster appearing frequently as a guest on related podcasts.
