This is a list of notable people with exceptional mental calculating abilities, usually known as "mental calculators" or "calculating prodigies". Some of these people are able to calculate square roots, logarithms, sines, and calendrical calculations; others' calculation skills are limited to basic arithmetic. Some mental calculators have made use of their skills in their profession, including engineers, mathematicians, and physicists; others have used their primarily for demonstrating them to an audience, and still others have made little practical use of their skill.
