It has been semi-officially leaked from Apple that Keynote was developed several years before its public release for just one customer, [[Steve Jobs]], to be used during his many Keynote speeches at different Apple functions (hence the name). Only once the software has matured and been field tested for a period of time was a public release contemplated. |
