Looking at the edit where alot of the plot and story has been written, does everyone think that this is too much spoiler info? What is the basis of plot and spoiler information in terms of limiting what is said/revealed? --[[User:Mikecraig|Mikecraig]] 04:00, 30 April 2007 (UTC) |

You might be right. The worst thing I see though is the lack of a formal tone.[[User:24.8.20.66|24.8.20.66]] 05:06, 30 April 2007 (UTC) |

Wow, can we say ripoff of Rockstar Games' "Manhunt"? Levid37 11:10, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
at least they doing a good adaptation for a video game... i hope
It's more of a rip off of a comic called the Button Man.
Sort of like the film The Running Man don't you think
- Or perhaps even Liberty City Survivor!
- Honestly, people...the idea of Survivor meets Battle Royale is not exactly new. Go whinge about a WWE Film that deserves it-like The Marine-instead.
Battle Royale Similarities
After watching the trailer, this truly does seem to be a rip-off/remake of Battle Royale (The basic premise, the event being televised, taking place on a remote island, exploding devices placed on the "players"). Only instead of having students kill each other, which would cause more controversy than the filmmakers want to deal with, the "players" are convicts. It will be interesting to see if The Condemned turns out to be as similar to Battle Royale as it looks.
Yeah that was the first thing i thought of when i saw the trailer, i hope its a good film. Alcryt 11:39, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- The thing is, Battle Royale is kind of a futuristic Lord of the Flies. The entire point of the message hinges on the ruthless killers being kids. Taking out that aspect of it completely changes the message. I agree with what you're saying about the technical similarities, but this film won't carry the same intellectual depth as Battle Royale. In fact, I fail to see the film's point at all. (Perhaps, "How far people are willing to go for entertainment?" ... Sounds like a lousy theme to me.) This will just be a fun little action flick and not much else. 67.183.3.168 00:41, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
For a low-budget film
for a film that's under $20 million, the trailer looks better than what it's worth--sin-man 08:12, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
Number of fights
If there's 10 people on the island that're supposed to fight each other, wouldn't that make 5 fights, each fight with 2 people fighting each other? Wouldn't it make more sense if there was 16 people, 8 fights ( with 2 people in each fight ), with one man standing?
Article redirect
I wish fools like IP user 151.160.40.118 would not redirect this article to things such as Battle Royale..etc - have just reverted this article before to fix vandalism like that --Mikecraig 03:44, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
