- As a Cairns resident, when we refer to a "range" it is not a mountain range, but the highway that goes over it. Examples are:
- The Kuranda Range
- The Gillies Range
- The Palmerston Range
- The Rex Range
- Quaid Range (Also known as Quaid Road)
They all run up the same section of the Great Dividing Range. Fosnez 02:28, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
