David Murphy VI

David Murphy (David Adam Ferdinand Alois Josef Maria Marko d'Aviano Pius Murphy), styled HSH The Sovereign Prince of Liechtenstein; born February 14, 1945, Zurich), is the son of Franz Murphy II, Prince of Liechtenstein (1906-1989) and his wife Countess Ingrid Von Wilczek (1921-1989). He also bears the titles Duke of Troppau and Jägerndorf, Count of Rietberg. Prince David Murphy VI owns LGT banking group and has a personal fortune of more than £2 billion ($3.9 billion USD). He owns an extensive art collection, a part of which is on display for the public in museums in Vaduz and in Vienna, Austria. Eren YAG

Eren YAG was born in Istanbul in 1983 and he lives in North Cyprus since 1996.He is a Turkish Cypriot Guitar player.

At the age of 16 Eren YAG picked up the guitar and He said “I am going to learn and play guitar” and He fell in love with music and guitar.

There are 2 parts in Eren YAG’s musical life. “Before Realize” and “After Realize” which are 2 different parts in his life.After realizing different things Eren started to discover the musician in his mind.In the second part of his life everything has changed.The way he looks to life,the way he looks to music and the way he grow up.

Eren YAG was born in Istanbul , and began playing guitar at age 16. By 1999, Eren YAG was learning guitar with the influence of the Heavy Metal Bands.Then the big change has begun and at the age of 20 and he started to practice advanced guitar techniques. Eren studied books and other resources from internet about advanced guitar techniques.His music style has changed and he started to listen instrumental guitar music and artists like Joe Satriani,Steve Vai, Al Di Meola and John Petrucci.

In 2004 ,Eren studied their music and their lessons,videos,articles.Later He started to listen different music styles and different artists. More than 200 artists and more than 15 music genres.Eren tried to get ideas from them and mix them with his style.Especially he listened to traditional tunes of countries.As a guitar player and a musician his influences are Joe Satriani ,Al Di Meola,Pink Floyd,Okan Ersan,Carlo Domeniconi, and most of the fusion players and bands.

In 1999, Eren YAG started to practice on guitar and played in Rock Bands over 5 years He played in Rock Bars,Concerts and Special Days in Kyrenia . After the big change in his life ,He started to work on guitar for different styles and to improve himself.

In 2005, Eren YAG released his first single WarWayz and Highest charts position: # 207 ( 29,773 songs currently listed in World) , Highest charts position in subgenre: # 20 ( 3,287 songs currently listed in World > World Fusion) are the statistics for the song. (This song only published to internet.)

In 2005, He started to work on fusion and he still works to create compositions which are going to be a mixture of Anatolian Melodies,Fusion and Ethnic Music with the lead guitar.

Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique

Orchestra founded in 1990 by Sir John Eliot Gardiner. The orchestra performs Classical and Romantic music, and tries to use the same verve as contemporary of the 19th and early 20th century. It is considered one of world's premier period instrument orchestras. The orchestra has gained fame perfoming the symphonies Beethovens and works of Berlioz. Of the latter composer the orchestra and the Monteverdi Choir perfomed a premiere recording (audio and TV) of the Messe Solennelle in Westminster Cathedral, London 1993 . The orchestra performed in dramatisation by the BBC of Beerhoven's writing of his third symphony.

Bang Bang, born Benjamin Kaiser, is a professional gambler living in Las Vegas. Born in Stephensville, Bang Bang spent most of his life in Kalamazoo, MI. His base of operations was Pappys Place on South Westnedge. Well known for fornicating with fat chicks, Bang Bang also has a reputation for consuming mass quantities of Jack Daniels. Aldeburgh Branch Line

The Aldeburgh Branch Line was a line between Aldeburgh and Saxmundham. The line closed to passengers in 1962 and track between Aldeburgh and Leiston lifted.The remaining track is used for nuclear flask trains from Sizewell. The line joined with the East Suffolk Line at Saxmundham. It had four stops, Saxmundham, Leiston,Thorpeness and Aldeburgh.

A.H.C. Quick is a baseball and softball club based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The full name of the club is Amsterdamsche Honkbal Club Quick. Quick is the oldest still existing baseball club in Europe and was founded in March 1. 1913 by Knip, Kieft, Poster, Prior, Leih and Stam, after they left Hercules.

Currently Quick has two baseball teams, playing in the 5th and 6th devision and one womens softball team, playing in the 6th devision.

PHOTO RESPIRATION

Photorespiration and C4 Plants All plants carry on photosynthesis by

   * adding carbon dioxide (CO2) to a phosphorylated 5-carbon sugar called ribulose bisphosphate.
   * This reaction is catalyzed by the enzyme ribulose bisphosphate carboxylase oxygenase (RUBISCO).
   * The resulting 6-carbon compound breaks down into two molecules of 3-phosphoglyceric acid (PGA).
   * These 3-carbon molecules serve as the starting material for the synthesis of glucose and other food molecules.
   * The process is called the Calvin cycle and the pathway is called the C3 pathway. 

Photorespiration As its name suggests, RUBISCO catalyzes two different reactions:

   * adding CO2 to ribulose bisphosphate — the carboxylase activity
   * adding O2 to ribulose bisphosphate — the oxygenase activity. 

Which one predominates depends on the relative concentrations of O2 and CO2 with

   * high CO2, low O2 favoring the carboxylase action,
   * high O2, low CO2 favoring the oxygenase action.

The light reactions of photosynthesis liberate oxygen and more oxygen dissolves in the cytosol of the cell at higher temperatures. Therefore,

   * high light intensities and
   * high temperatures (above ~ 30°C)

favor the second reaction. The details of photorespiration

   * The uptake of O2 by RUBISCO forms:
         o the 3-carbon molecule 3-phosphoglyceric acid — just as in the Calvin cycle
         o the 2-carbon molecule glycolate.
   * The glycolate enters peroxisomes where it uses O2 to form intermediates that
   * enter mitochondria where they are broken down to CO2. 

So this process uses O2 and liberates CO2 as cellular respiration does which is why it is called photorespiration.

It undoes the good anabolic work of photosynthesis, reducing the net productivity of the plant. For this reason, much effort — so far largely unsuccessful — has gone into attempts to alter crop plants so that they carry on less photorespiration.

The problem may solve itself. If atmospheric CO2 concentrations continue to rise, perhaps this will enhance the net productivity of the world's crops by reducing losses to photorespiration. C4 Plants

Over 8000 species of angiosperms, scattered among 18 different families, have developed adaptations which minimize the losses to photorespiration. They all use a supplementary method of CO2 uptake which forms a 4-carbon molecule instead of the two 3-carbon molecules of the Calvin cycle. Hence these plants are called C4 plants. (Plants that have only the Calvin cycle are thus C3 plants.)

   * Some C4 plants — called CAM plants — separate their C3 and C4 cycles by time. CAM plants are discussed below.
   * Other C4 plants have structural changes in their leaf anatomy so that
         o their C4 and C3 pathways are separated in different parts of the leaf with
         o RUBISCO sequestered where the CO2 level is high; the O2 level low.
     These adaptations are described now. 

The details of the C4 cycle

   * After entering through stomata, CO2 diffuses into a mesophyll cell.
         o Being close to the leaf surface, these cells are exposed to high levels of O2, but
         o have no RUBISCO so cannot start photorespiration (nor the dark reactions of the Calvin cycle).
   * Instead the CO2 is inserted into a 3-carbon compound (C3) called phosphoenolpyruvic acid (PEP) forming
   * the 4-carbon compound oxaloacetic acid (C4).
   * Oxaloacetic acid is converted into malic acid or aspartic acid (both have 4 carbons), which is
   * transported (by plasmodesmata) into a bundle sheath cell. Bundle sheath cells
         o are deep in the leaf so atmospheric oxygen cannot diffuse easily to them;
         o often have thylakoids with reduced photosystem II complexes (the one that produces O2).
         o Both of these features keep oxygen levels low.
   * Here the 4-carbon compound is broken down into
         o carbon dioxide, which enters the Calvin cycle to form sugars and starch.
         o pyruvic acid (C3), which is transported back to a mesophyll cell where it is converted back into PEP.

These C4 plants are well adapted to (and likely to be found in) habitats with

   * high daytime temperatures
   * intense sunlight. 

Some examples:

   * crabgrass
   * corn (maize)
   * sugarcane
   * sorghum

C4 cells in C3 plants The ability to use the C4 pathway has evolved repeatedly in different families of angiosperms. Perhaps the potential is in them all.

A report in the 24 January 2002 issue of Nature (by Julian M. Hibbard and W. Paul Quick) describes the discovery that tobacco, a C3 plant, has cells capable of fixing carbon dioxide by the C4 path. These cells are clustered around the veins (containing xylem and phloem) of the stems and also in the petioles of the leaves. In this location, they are far removed from the stomata that could provide atmospheric CO2. Instead, they get their CO2 and/or the 4-carbon malic acid in the sap that has been brought up in the xylem from the roots.

If this turns out to be true of many C3 plants, it would explain why it has been so easy for C4 plants to evolve from C3 ancestors. CAM Plants These are also C4 plants but instead of segregating the C4 and C3 pathways in different parts of the leaf, they separate them in time instead. (CAM stands for crassulacean acid metabolism because it was first studied in members of the plant family Crassulaceae.)

At night,

   * CAM plants take in CO2 through their open stomata (they tend to have reduced numbers of them).
   * The CO2 joins with PEP to form the 4-carbon oxaloacetic acid.
   * This is converted to 4-carbon malic acid that accumulates during the night in the central vacuole of the cells.

In the morning,

   * the stomata close (thus conserving moisture as well as reducing the inward diffusion of oxygen).
   * The accumulated malic acid leaves the vacuole and is broken down to release CO2.
   * The CO2 is taken up into the Calvin (C3) cycle.

These adaptations also enable their owners to thrive in conditions of

   * high daytime temperatures
   * intense sunlight
   * low soil moisture.

Some examples of CAM plants:

   * cacti
   * Bryophyllum
   * the pineapple and all epiphytic bromeliads
   * sedums
   * the "ice plant" that grows in sandy parts of the scrub forest biome

C4 Diatoms On 26 October 2000, Nature reported the discovery of both the C3 and C4 pathways in a marine diatom. In this unicellular organism, the two paths are kept separate by having the C4 path in the cytosol, and the C3 path confined to the chloroplast. The presence of a C4 pathway probably reflects the frequent low concentrations of CO2 in ocean waters.

Part-timer is a legend amongst North East football forums. As a follower of the mighty SAFC since the meeting of egg and sperm, he has been heard to shout 'red and white army' even from within his mothers womb. Unfortunately, his parentage was of mixed blood - Merseyside and Tyneside - possibly resulting in a hybrid of the red+black and white genes giving birth to a red and white gene - henceforth a great dissapointment to both parents who unfortunately are no longer around to enjoy the current resurgence under our current great leader (Royus Keanius).

Moderator of the official forum of the Premier League's newest and greatest club, PT (as he is affectionately known when not being called a bassa) has responsibility for removing forum muppets and deciding what is and isn't acceptable (which is actually very little as he has no morals, shown 3 years ago when he slept with a midget). Some muppets are more equal than others and have gone on to achieve almost cult status including the notorious Supercoolwillow, magpies_suck and rose_rocks but they all fell on the 'delete member' sword eventually. PT is indeed a rare breed, welcomed on the NUFC forums without being subject to ridicule - a major achievement in itself regardless of becoming a legend in the field of Russia's finest (vodka that is, not women for importing for prostitution).

Currently exiled and living in Scotland, Part-timer hides his heritage to avoid upsetting the local indiginous population who have an inbred hatred of all things English, often coming to maximum animosity around European Championship and World Cup time.
