Floss, also known as embroidery floss, is the common term for stranded cotton thread used for embroidery.[1] Floss can also be used to make Friendship Bracelets.
Floss is manufactured by several companies, two of the major ones being DMC [1] and Anchor[1], in a wide range of colours. A comparatively new trend is overdyed or hand-painted floss. Some of the major brands are Gentle Art Sampler Threads[2], Weeks Dye Works [3], Crescent Colours [4], Six Strand Sweets [5].
