Welcome to Wikipedia. It is good to have more South Africans here. You can find a few of us at Wikipedia:Wikipedians/South_Africa. If you need any help just give a shout. --Jcw69 10:41, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Hello, Suidafrikaan, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  —Ruud 12:32, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you create the category Category:Classification Systems. The S in systems should be written in lowecase per WP:MOS. I tagged the category, the articles should be moved within an hour or so. Cheers, —Ruud 12:32, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

When I said should be moved within an hour or so, I meant that a robot (User:NekoDeamon) should automatically move those articles but I now realise that A) this bot doesn't work anymore and B) you could misinterpret it as that you should move them within an hour. Sorry, —Ruud 19:06, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Psychology Wiki

The Logo for the Psychology Wiki.

Hi Suidafrikaan,

I noticed that you used to be a lecturer and clinical psychologist, and thought you might be interested in this project which I am involved in, The Psychology Wiki.

I won't say too much, as I'd like you to judge it for yourself, but you should find that it is different from Wikipedia, because approximately 90% of our contributors so far are professional psychologists, academics, or students and trainees.

Its hosted by a company called Wikia, which was founded by Jimmy Wales and Angela Beesley. There are Google Ads on the site, but we dont make money from the project, they're just to pay for the bandwidth, storage and technical support that Wikia give us.

Have a look and see what you think

Wikimania 2007

Hi Suidafrikaan

Wikimania 2007, which is being held in Taipei, Taiwan on August 3-5, is offering opportunities for travel scholarships to Wikimania for active users of Wikimedia projects from the continent of Africa. Although the original scholarship deadline has passed, please, if you are interested, you may still apply at http://wm07schols.wikimedia.org/apply.php. Sincerely yours, Cary Bass 21:27, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

CCB

I congratulate you on your Civil Cooperation Bureau creation: it is so well researched and sourced. I thought of creating such an article several years ago but it would have paled into insignificance compared to what you have produced: well done!

I note that you do not accept Craig Williamson was a CCB member. What about Peter Caselton (who was involved with the Swede Bertil Wedin in a number of CCB-type escapades) and who was killed under the wheels of a truck, after naming the killer of Swedish PM Olof Palme. Was Caselton a CCB member?Phase4 21:09, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thank you. --Deon Steyn 06:04, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also can you please correct the format of the reference, by using the standard citation templates (Wikipedia:Citation templates) instead of having one long hyperlinked reference. (also see Wikipedia:Footnotes) --Deon Steyn 06:22, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
