Introduction
Michael James Pierce, (1984 - Present), born April 30th, 1984, has been a small part of the early 21st century, but is forcasted by some, including himself, to be something of an influential presence in the world. Those that have a few minutes to hear of his inventions, political opinion, and insight into the human condition are soon captivated by the ability of this young man.
From 2003 to 2005, Michael Pierce served as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Immediately after he began to further his college education (2005 - 2006), but soon became troubled by some personal difficulties. He attended a local community college in Fresno, Ca. He had plans to major in business and engineering and took some of those classes with his general education courses. In June of 2006, after finishing his freshman year of college. Michael signed with the United States Army during a time of war. Specifically, the ongoing campaign of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Michael Pierce attended OSUT, or One Station Unit Training, at Fort Benning, Georgia for basic infantry tasks. He later attended Airborne School at the same base. After completeing his airborne qualifications and graduating the highly coveted jump school, Michael was transfered to Fort Bragg, NC to receive the initial training prior attending Special Forces Assesment and Selections, or SFAS.
However, in January of 2007, the weekend prior to the beginning of that initial training. Michael and an assosicate named Michael Rogers were arrested on alleged felony charges. The Cadre at Old Division, located on post at Fort Bragg, upon the return of Pierce and Rogers immedatly began the to outprocess the two PFCs. Michael was reassigned to 3rd brigade, 2nd Infanty Divison at Fort Lewis, Wa on May 2, 2007.
During this time, he continues to teach the priciples of the Gospel he learned as a missionary, continues to do personal research in the fields of engineering and business, and has high hopes for future political endevours.
Michael Pierce has many things to look forward to and will prove an interesting prospect to track in the coming years as he gains more experience in the war in Iraq and abroad.
