Dubai One (previously called CH33 and later One TV) is Dubai Media Incorporated's 24-hour free-to-air English language entertainment channel available in the Middle East and North Africa, that was launched on December 24, 2004. The channel is based in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and provides a Western entertainment in an Arabic theme.
History
The channel was launched as replacement for Channel 33, in which its broadcast suffered quality programming and considerable viewership, among other things. The channel was shutdown and revamped into its current state, bearing a new name with a brand new programming centered on westernized Arabs who enjoy western-styled entertainment.
