I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian. Although we all make mistakes, please keep in mind what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful.

Happy editing!

Thanks for cleaning that up and adding the link on the Episodes part. I...umm...well...I have a friend that works at a CBS affiliate and I wanted to get that out. He said it was also on cbs.com but buried somewhere. I tried to find it there but could not. Looks better though, thanks. WarFighter 22:05, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Price Is Right

'Salright about the revert thing yesterday. We all do stuff on here that we later realize we shouldn't have once in a while. 71.31.67.115 02:25, 3 February 2006 (UTC) (Steve Gavazzi)[reply]

Nice work you've done there watching after him. As a bit of a precautionary measure, I created User:Jamesinc7, so don't be suprised if he skips a number, or even comes up with a new name. —Whomp t/c 03:33, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

stop reverting my edits,if u actually watched the channel ud see that its true, and if the network finds that they will realize that's a mistake and stop airing those programs.

You have been warned several times in the past about NPOV.

Scoey Mitchlll = Scoey Mitchell = Scoey Mitchill ?

First, sorry about the typo in the edit summary claiming I was changing "ill" to "ell"—though, by then, I probably was ;-). I was actually checking "Kennedy" the other red-linked name and decided to f/u on Scoey as well.

I assume that this became his "stage" name? When I G'd him I checked both the "ill" and "ell" forms with "-wikipedia" (then adding "Match Game"; replacing "MG" with "comedian"; replaced "comedian" with "show") and wound up deciding that "ell' would be the entry people would use. Having checked your correction just now I see the following distribution:

328 — "scoey mitchlll" -wikipedia / "match game" = 86 / "comedian" = 23 /
1450 — "scoey mitchell" -wikipedia / "match game" = 217 / "comedian" = 269
232 — "scoey mitchill" -wikipedia / "match game" = 12 / "comedian" = 131

The IMDB site [1] has a pretty full list of his career activities and uses "ell"; the NY Times "lll" (but few entries).... Depending on whether he really used the "lll" form (& registered with the actors guild?) I would probably put him at Mitchlll with a re-direct from Mitchell (& Mitchell, since the "comedian" hits are so high)

In any case, it would really be nice if even a stub were written (there is one at the French WP!) to which the name(s) could be blue-linked (hint, hint) --RCEberwein | Talk 15:01, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mmbabies

For reference: community ban discussion is archived here.

Thanks "Gridlock" for helping control Mmbabies, who so far has posted crap under 19 different IPs. And I though BenH was a problem.

Thanks again. -- azumanga 03:24, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. If user continues, it may be worth our while to request Semi-protection for each of the stations affected. -- Gridlock Joe 19:37, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Gridlock. Check out my little piece on him here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:68.90.227.49#And_another_thing... -- azumanga 02:31, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since the previous semi-protect failed, do you want to try again? This time, have them take a real, close look at the Mmbabies sockpuppet category (with special attention to the WHOIS logs). (Sorry I can;t give a direct link for a category.) -- azumanga 02:40, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Considering he's extending his vandalism into other areas (my favourite: "On February 19, 2009, which is the end of the digital TV conversion period for full-service stations, Cinnamon Toast Crunch will be required to turn off its analog signal and turn on its digital signal (called a "flash-cut")."), it may be time to consider requesting a block for the whole of the IP range. -- Gridlock Joe 03:09, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Have you thought about proposing a "community ban" against Mmbabies and his IPs? See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Ban#Community_ban -- azumanga 22:16, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

After looking at his socks' threats and edit summaries, I went ahead and proposed it ... this clown is a direct threat to the project. GOod Lord, I didn't know it was possible to do this much damage in only 2 months ... --Blueboy96 04:45, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the link ... we need to get rid of this idiot, now. --Blueboy96 04:50, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the community ban proposal. I've been away the past few days and unable to keep track of him. -- Gridlock Joe 03:31, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's possible that Mmbabies (talk · contribs) could belong to BenH (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). BuickCenturyDriver (Honk, contribs, odometer) 04:50, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't believe so -- BenH's edits came from Winter Park, FL, using Embarq's servers; Mmbabies' posts come from Houston, mostly from SBC's servers. -- azumanga 13:46, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing about the above -- BenH's edits generally involve unnecessary edits and additions, plus some false material, but he never threatened. Mmbabies' edits is malicious vandalism and falsehoods. If you compare the two, you will find that, while both deserve bans, they are from two different "worlds". -- azumanga 18:03, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think we should request protection for the Houston TV articles again, now that we have something to go on? The community ban so far has done nothing -- maybe we should try "cutting the fuel from the fire" again. -- azumanga 20:56, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm thinking that WP:ABUSE may be the way to go here. -- Gridlock Joe 12:37, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. Let's do it. -- azumanga 16:05, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Abuse report filed. -- Gridlock Joe 00:03, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Should've also included this: 68.91.100.208. See KRIV's talk page and you'll know what I mean. That's definitely grounds for getting his internet pulled for sure. -- azumanga 01:35, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And... 68.91.110.255. I take it that he's not serious about ANYTHING, even from the religious shows he claims to watch. -- azumanga 00:55, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

All righty, folks. His most recent edits, and the death threats on the edit summaries, have prompted me to open a case on WP:ANI. -- Gridlock Joe 12:32, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Incidentally, per WP:BAN, "Any edits made in defiance of a ban may be reverted to enforce the ban, regardless of the merits of the edits themselves. As the banned user is not authorized to make those edits, there is no need to discuss them prior to reversion." -- Gridlock Joe 01:40, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is there anything that we can do to stop him for good? So far, he sockpuppetted 55 IPs, and that number's bound to rise even more. And, considering his defiant demeanor and unsavory language, I bet oranges to apples that he watches Gospel Bill only for the background noise, and not the lessons. -- azumanga 02:50, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
One thing I like to add is that on KETH-TV's article, in one revision, he called me a "(freakin') lady". Being a man, I think he's bordering on libel here as well. -- azumanga 14:11, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Because channel 14 is The WB/CW. KNUZ is channel 14's call letters. Same thing with 2, 11, 13, 20, 26, 33, 47, 51 and 55. There all owned by The WB. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.147.18.111 (talkcontribs) 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Repeating WP:BAN, "Any edits made in defiance of a ban may be reverted to enforce the ban, regardless of the merits of the edits themselves. As the banned user is not authorized to make those edits, there is no need to discuss them prior to reversion." Even though you meant to say "39" instead of "33", you are banned; therefore, "33" stays, even though it is incorrect. -- azumanga 03:14, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In other words, every single television station in Houston is not only owned by people who don't know their real station identities, but owned by a network that no longer exists (and did not own any stations to begin with). You're mental, you know that? -- azumanga 02:10, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

KETH-TV 39

For god sakes KETH is 39 and KHTV is 14. Everytime you think of 14, think of the The WB/CW Network, 39 think of TBN and NBC. Go to channel 14 at 7714 Westpark Drive, at Hillcroft Avuenue, at Houston, Texas. Tell them that channel 14 is the CW.

Really -- You don't think KETH knows their own affiliation? Are you that dense? -- azumanga 02:32, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, yah, really? I had already made WB 26 in Houston, Texas. Everytime I put WB 26 it changes, and I told them not to change this stupid WB 26.—The preceding comment is by 68.89.173.69 (talkcontribs) 20:38, April 4, 2007: Please sign your posts!

Go away. -- Gridlock Joe 01:40, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You have been banned. REPEATING -- You have been banned. We will be reporting this to your ISP for a TOS violation. We will see to it that you'll never use the internet again. Mmbabies, you are a f****n insult to the television industry with your brain-damaged lies regarding Houston television. -- azumanga 02:16, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

KVQT-LP

Did you deleted the KVQT-LP channel 46/21 logos, that we placed in the article? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.132.151.112 (talk) 02:02, 1 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I never in my life saw someone so angry towards local TV stations. Perhaps he/she does not know where there children are? SpyMagician 03:04, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I also do not understand this bizarre behavior. He does this almost nightly. I suspect some type of pathologic problem. Postoak 03:37, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Whatever it is, I have a feeling that this will continue until either (1) someone is killed, expelled or arrested because of this; (2) all SBC customers will effectively need a Wikipedia account to do any edits, as Mmbabies would have "bankrupted" all the IPs; or, in a long draw, (3) he becomes "King" of Houston, and demands all stations reformat to his taste. That will never happen, but then again, this is Mmbabies that we're tralking about. -- azumanga 03:59, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Considering the history of Mmbabies' edits, I should alert you that KHCW and TV-32 is changing affiliation to Azteca America. I've added that to the page, sourcing a press release and an article in the HBJ. -- Gridlock Joe 21:55, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since you seem to be the keeper of the MMbabies file, and the Houston market was his playground, I thought I'd alert you that I've changed the KVIT-LP article to KUVM-CA. It's legit; the station changed callsigns last week. dhett (talk contribs) 05:03, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:AIV Request

Thank you for making a report about 68.92.53.74 (talk · contribs · block log) on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. No vandalism after final warning to User:68.92.53.74 -- wrp103 (Bill Pringle) (Talk) 03:05, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This qualifies as an extraordinary circumstance: Mmbabies is an indefblocked/community-banned user who is IP-surfing to avoid his block. Per WP:BAN, "user accounts or IP addresses used to evade a block may also be blocked." -- Gridlock Joe 03:16, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
