The Battle of Arara (September 19, 1918) was part of the Battle of Megiddo which was fought between Ottoman Empire and allies detachment units of French Armenian Legion. French Armenian Legion was distinguished themselves in the battle of Arara on that front, and their bravery was well recognized by the Supreme Commander.[3]
In September 1918 Turkish armies on the Palestine front crumbled before the British expeditionary forces which contained an American contingent commanded by a French colonel and French and Armenian officers. Legion took part in tile capture of the Heights of Arara[4].
