Glenville is an unincorporated community in Russell County, Alabama, United States. Formerly it was in Barbour County.
Glenville is located at 32°7'43"N 85°10'37"W; elevation is 461 feet.
During the American Civil War, Company "H" of the 15th Alabama Volunteer Infantry Regiment was raised from Barbour and Dale Counties and called the "Glenville Guards".
