Untitled

Ozzmosis is an album by British rock musician Ozzy Osbourne. It was originally released on October 24, 1995.

After Osbourne's supposed retirement, he regrouped with guitarist Steve Vai for a project originally titled "X-Ray." After the initial collaboration, Bob Daisley was brought in to continue writing with the two and Deen Castronovo was chosen as the drummer. This, however, was short lived, and Sharon informed them that the label had run out of money. Daisley, having known the Osbourne's for over 14 years, was immediately suspicious. According to him, the writing sessions had not gone very well and this was their way of avoiding the issue. Castronovo was extremely disappointed but Daisley informed him of his suspicions and felt that they were just trying to get rid of Vai. [1] The only song from that collaboration to appear on Ozzmosis is "My Little Man." Another song from the collaboration can be found in instrumental form on Vai's 1996 album, Fire Garden.

After regrouping and re-enlisting Zakk Wylde, Osbourne had the opportunity to work with Geezer Butler again after he left Black Sabbath and had a major falling out with long-time Osbourne rival Tony Iommi. Castronovo was indeed called back and the lineup was solidifed.

The album remained the last studio release until Down to Earth, the first follow-up in six years.
