Barry Primus (born February 16, 1938) is an American actor. He was born in New York City. Primarily a dramatic support actor, Primus has also doubled and tripled himself as wirter and director He is best known for his role as Sgt. Dory McKennas, who developes a drug problem on Cagney and Lacey from 1984 to 1985. He taught acting and directing classes at the American Film Institute, The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, the UCLA campus, and at The Workshop in Maine.
