03:52, 11 June 2007 (UTC)There may be a great conflict on this article but the side in which i will take is that this article to be requested to be un protected or semi-protected. This article does in fact have a deal of false information on both the 1st and 2nd generation eagle talons. These changes should be approached by one who can accuretly make these changes with out any false acusation to follow. I request that the user that I have talked to (spoolintsi or MachV) make these changes due to their over 10 year experience in dealing and working with these vehicles. They know and have obtained a great deal of information on these vehicles, not only because they build these cars for a living but built one from the ground up, and I mean ground up as well as own several eagle talons. I am a current eagle talon owner, I own a 1996 eagle talon esi, but i myself know a great deal on the 1st generation eagle talons due to their outstanding 6-bolt motors in which i am building. As i have reviewed this article I have found a remarkable amount of false information that should be changed on the 1st generation eagle talon, the turbo-charger that was used in this article is in-correct, it is in fact a 13g, not 14b, the amount of boost out put is in fact 7psi not 11, another false line is that this articles states that the eagle talon's motor can run 25-30 psi on stock internals and obtain 500+ hp, this is highly impossible, and every eagle talon tuner out there knows it's impossible as well, if it were that easy every car tuner would have a talon, think about it, also running more than 15 psi on a stock internal motor on the eagle talon will blow, i know for a fact! As do all eagle talon tuners, that is why they get their motors rebuilt and tuned to with stand certain amounts of boost to what the internal performance engine parts can with-stand, for example, a stock head stud can only with stand 10 psi, any more and its gone, as well as other stock internals will not be able to with stand more than 10 psi of boost, un-less replaced with performance parts that tell how much boost it can with stand, some performance head studs can only with stand 20 psi, custom built head studs can with stand up to 20- 30 psi, so the fact that stock internals can with stand 25-30 psi on stock internals is impossible because the motor will blow on stock internals running that much of psi. If needs be, i myself will make these changes so the dispute will no longer prolong. I request this page be un-protected.03:52, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

There are also many factors in this article that need to be changed due to the fact of being false, for example the crank walk issues, the turbo issues and the pounds of boost issues in this article are false, i am a eclipse/talon shop owner, i work, rebuild and tune to race these vehicles and i know more about this kid does who requested the full lock, the car images that have been disputing about were completly stock on the outside, and were in perfect mint condition, the current pictures on this article are in terrible shape, and poorly represent the dsm brand of vehicles, no pictureso n here show the engine, so it does not matter wether or not car is higly modified under the hood, the pictures are to show the car and represnt it, and thats why i highly request that the images be changed to a better picture to the other pictures that were of the dsm cars in perfect mint condition, he just want the talon to be pooryl represented and that is what you are giving him power over, to poorly represent this brand of car by using images of the car in terrible conditions, the white talon in this article is higly modified as well, and it is ubsurd that he got this page protect because of the pictures when he himself put a highly modded picture on here, he just counterbacked him self, i request the page be unlocked for the false details of this artilce such as turbo set up, crank walk issues and boost out put to be changed immediatly!!!02:54, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[[User:MachV|MachV]] 02:54, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

02:21, 11 June 2007 (UTC)~~I agree, there are alot of detials in this article that are very incorrect, as a dsm shop rebuild owner and computer rebuilder, it is correct that the 1st generations used a 13g TD-04 turbo ((NOT A 14B TURBO)) ANOTHER FALSE DETAIL FOUND IN THIS ARTICLE IS THAT THE CAR FACTORY TUNED DID NOT COME 11.06 PSI ( POUNDS OF BOOST) IF IT DID THE VEHICLE WOULD OF CAME WITH 230+ HORSEPOWER, NOT 190, THE DSM VEHICLES CAME RUNNING 7 LBS. OF BOOST, NOT 11.06, THESE CHANGES NEED TO BE MADE ON THIS ARTICLE, AND I AGREE ON THE IMAGES AS WELL, THE GREY WHITE AND RED TALON REPRESNT THE EAGLE TALON TERRIBLY AND NEED TO BE CHANGED AS WELL AS THE OTHER DETAILS MENTIONED ABOVE02:21, 11 June 2007 (UTC)~~

There are intricate details that need to be changed on this article, for example, in the 1sr generation trait, it says the engine uses a 14b turbo, which is very very incorrect, as a eagle talon race builder, i know for a fact that it is not a 14b turbo, it is a 13g TD-04 turbo, a huge differance, another thing is that the images of this article represent the talon horridly, and i request these changes to be made imiediatly before dsm owners get annoyed on the fact that their own line of vehicles is being terrible represnted here in this article in the images section for the 1st generation.

a wealth of information on this (and similar) vehicles can be found here: http://members.shaw.ca/costall/1000Q/ incase anyone wants to continue the page :)

i decieded I would split the Laser and Talon up, bnecause they are diffrent cars with diffrent historys.

This page is a good start that I've tried to organize & clean up some info. In some ways, it's busier than the Mitsubishi Eclipse page which keeps the model/detail info in the infoboxes (cleaner?) I think some of the info in the 'intro' portion of this article should be moved to the detail section (i.e. crankwalk reference). At some point I'll upload a 2Gb TSi AWD for photo comparison with the 1995 stuff. --Z00ropean 3 June 2006

Multiple editprotected requests

I have no idea what's going on here, however, I have a few comments:

  1. Do not shout (i.e., write in ALL CAPS).
  2. You only will ever need one {{editprotected}} tag per talk page. Extra templates just create more work for admins.
  3. If you have a specific edit to this article that has consensus and is in-line with all of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, feel free to add an editprotected request. However, this page is currently under full protection, so only minor edits should really be necessary right now (e.g., typo fixes, etc.).

Cheers. --MZMcBride 03:21, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
