Kanon is a character from the classic anime/manga series, Saint Seiya. He was the younger twin brother of gold saint Gemini Saga, and later took up the position after Saga's death. Before finally embracing his destiny as the Gemini Saint, Kanon masqueraded as the Sea Dragon, one of Poseidon's seven Sea Generals.

Gemini Gold Cloth
The Gemini Gold Cloth is part of the strongest kind of cloths of Athena's saints. Kanon inherited this cloth at the start of the Holy was against Hades. Thus, he became a Gold Saint at age 28. He was first seen wearing it when he and Libra Dohko departed to the underworld as the last 2 Gold Saints alive along with the 4 Bronze Saints. However he manipulated the cloth in order to trick the Spectres in the Gemini Temple, a move that was copied from his Brother in the first part of the series. This cloth represents two fused human beings, based on the twins Castor and Polydeuces. Who were the brothers of Helen of Troy. Sometimes they are said to be sons of Zeus, and the two brightest stars of the Gemini constellation are named after them, Castor and Pollux.
Kanon would represent Polydeuces, since he is the younger. Polydeuces is often portrayed as a demigod. And its star is the first one to be visible from Earth.
The Evil One
As fate would have it, the constellation of Gemini bestowed its cosmos powers to a set of twin, Saga and Kanon. While the older brother Saga found himself trapped in a constant inner struggle between good and evil, the younger brother Kanon claimed that he had no such problems -- he told Saga that he was born with a natural instinct for evil, and as such, felt absolutely no conflict with embracing it. There was very drastic difference between the brothers. Saga was praised as the most gentle and kindest man on the land, while Kanon was almost the very opposite of his older brother.
Although Saga was a popular figure in Sanctuary and Greece, almost no one knew of the fact that he actually had a younger twin brother. Kanon revealed to Saga how they can overthrow Athena who was just reborn in the land after 200 years and rule the world together. Saga only looked in deep disgust at his younger twin brother, and ordered him to repent. Kanon replied that he could also murder Sagittarius Aiolos, who was to be Holy Father of Sanctuary - with his death, there would be nothing to stop their complete control over Sanctuary. This angered Saga, as his brother was whispering betrayal and treason against Sanctuary. Saga beat Kanon up and dragged him to the watery jail of Cape Sunion. The dungeon was deemed mythical as it was a jail fit only for traitors who rebel against Athena and her will. The legend also said that only the will of the Goddess Athena would save a repentant rebel locked up there, but no such case has ever been confirmed or recorded.
Saga dictated his brother to renounces his evil ways, and embrace Sainthood saying: that only the will of the Gods would save him if he was worthy.... Saga begins to walk away, leaving his own twin brother to die. Kanon is infuriated at the incredible measure Saga has taken against his own brother. Both Kanon and Saga had been blessed with almost Godly powers and immense powerful Cosmo - what was wrong in taking advantage of a gift given by the Gods? Kanon screams at Saga that he is own brother who shares the same blood and Cosmos as he does - and so, he knows that deep inside Saga there is a devil waiting to be awakened. If he was evil, then somewhere deep inside his brother's heart, the same evil seed was planted. Saga only reacts, and suddenly his eyes turn red for an instant and his true nature is revealed for the first time. Kanon only smiles, content in knowing his prediction will come true.
Saga continues walking away disgusted at his own brother's nature. Kanon only shouts that he will continue to haunt his conscience, and promises that the day will arrive in which he will kill Athena and control the lands....
Imitation Isn't Flattery
As one would expect of the Gemini twins, Kanon and Saga use techniques that are either identical or similar to each other. The "Golden Triangle" is a parallel to Saga's "Another Dimension" but with an adaptation to Kanon's role as the Sea Dragon, Marine General of the North Atlantic Ocean. "Galaxian Explosion" is practically identical to his big brother's version in both title and performance. Last but not least, Kanon has his own interpretation of Saga's infamous "Demon Emperor Fist," with minor differences -- it does not require the opponent to kill a target in order to be released, though it seems to be more powerful than Saga's, and the technique can be executed in the same manner as Ikki's "Phoenix Illusion Fist," where the enemy is tricked by a series of illusions into doing Kanon's bidding.
Wrath of the Sea Dragon
A Vile Proposal
Kanon was ambitious and he understood that Saga shared the same ambitions he did, whether or not he wanted to admit it. After scheming for a long time, Kanon finally decided to approach Saga on one fateful day with his ruthless plot to assassinate both the current Pope and the infant Athena, all so the brothers could claim Sanctuary for themselves. Unfortunately for Kanon, Saga saw this as treason, and locked Kanon within the confines of a watery prison in Cape Sounion as a form of punishment. Should the gods allow it, then Kanon would find a way to escape, a feat that has never happened before. If not, then this would be their farewell. As Saga began to walk away, Kanon berated the older Gemini for not embracing the power that the gods have given him -- deep down, there was a demon whispering the same evil desires within Saga's heart. The Gold saint paid Kanon no attention, and was soon out of sight. Boiling with rage, Kanon sworn that he would escape and kill Athena and her saints.
The water level of the cave was very unstable, as it would continually rise and fall with each passing day. For 10 days, Kanon was trapped and barely survived -- oddly, every time he found himself within an inch of death, a powerful yet gentle cosmos would somehow lift the younger Gemini Saint away. Still refusing to give up his ambitions, Kanon began to search the prison for a way out -- and he discovered it in the form of a hollow wall in the back of the cave. With a single blow, Kanon destroyed the wall and was instantly shocked to see the object concealed behind it -- the legendary majestic trident of the Lord of the Seas, Poseidon. The Gemini also recognized the tag that had previously concealed its power -- Athena's seal. The bind was losing its effects, however, as Kanon noticed that even his own strength was enough to release the trident from its hold. Freed from Athena, the trident suddenly glowed with power, and immediately sought to return to its owner -- taking Kanon along for the ride.
The Man who tempted the Gods
Kanon woke up in a bizarre yet serene location. All around him were temples and shrines -- a holy ground, even. Yet above him was a skyline of jet-blue water, as if to suggest that he was now inside a breathable haven under the seas. And he was -- this was the legendary Sanctuary of Poseidon, where the Lord of the Seas reign supreme. Kanon soon came to understand this, when he realized that he was directly staring at the Temple of Poseidon. The Gemini entered and, etched high on individual pillars before him were the Marine Scales of Poseidon and his seven Sea Generals. Below the scale of Poseidon was a metallic jar, apparently locked with the same Seal of Athena that Kanon had seen securing the weapon of Poseidon. Placing the trident down, Kanon approached the jar, and Athena's hold was once again vanquished. The jar burst open, and the soul of Poseidon once again inhabited his holy shrine.
The Lord of the Seas demanded to know why he was awoken 300 years too early. Kanon, struck with awe, informed him that Athena's seal had weakened to the point of being non-existent. The god scoffed and claimed that Athena's seal had zero effect on him; that if he wanted to, he could've awoken at any point in time. Kanon then revealed that Athena's next manifestation had arrived, and that the goddess was preparing to once again walk the Earth in mortal form. Poseidon was surprised by this, and recalled that he had awoke under similar circumstances 200 years ago -- at the time, Athena had reincarnated once again to battle with a certain god -- a god that was even more ambitious than the Lord of the Seas (that god was later revealed to be Hades). Poseidon then declared that since the seal had weakened, it was probably his turn to do battle with the goddess -- thus, he needed a living host. Fortunately, there was a certain bloodline that he had always counted on for this task. Exiting the Under Sea Temples, Poseidon's soul jumped into the 3 year old toddler body of Julian Solo, the heir of a wealthy business family whose fortune derived from a very wealthy shipping and trading company who almost had complete control of trading across the 7 seas.
Before the God left, he inquired Kanon's name, and Kanon replied (after seeing the Marine Scales of Sea Dragon next to him) that he was known as "Sea Dragon." The God warned him to make sure that his soul does not awake within Julian Solo's body until the child is 16 years of age. Kanon smirked and vowed that he will do exactly just that -- in fact, he won't ever truly wake up the god within Solo's body, if he could help it. Kanon's plan was to use Poseidon's army and his host body to his own will to conquer the world.
Kanon donned the Marine Scale of the Sea Dragon, and recalled the bit where Saga mentioned that only the gods can help Kanon. It seems the gods have allowed this happen, and Kanon once again declared his ambition of ruling not only the lands, but the seas, as well.
As Kanon patiently waited, he received news that his older brother had finally snapped and succumbed to his evil side. Not only that, but Saga had actually followed through with the very same plans that Kanon had laid out for him -- he had assassinated the Pope and attempted to kill the infant Athena. The Sea Dragon sat back and waited, as his own ambitions could not be fulfilled unless he had the other sea generals with him -- and they would only arrive when Solo has declared that he is Poseidon. Eventually, Kanon received news that five bronze saints had invaded Sanctuary, and that Saga had fallen. The Sea Dragon could only smile -- it was now up to him to succeed where his older brother had failed.
The Man who lost everything
According Poseidon's will - Julian Solo declares that the world is unfit for humans, and that he will create a new world worthy of the Gods themselves. As expected, Athena's Saints battled in Atlantis to prevent the world from being drowned and to rescue Athena from the Main Pillar of Life. Soon, the holy war took its toll on Poseidon's Sea Generals, as they were being defeated one by one until only the SeaDragon general and Siren Sorento were left. SeaDragon Kanon takes notice that by this time there is also one Bronze Saint left that is active under Poseidon's temple - The Phoenix Saint Ikki.
Kanon soon encounters Ikki and quickly overpowers the Bronze Saint. The Bronze Saint is puzzled for the Cosmo emanating from the SeaDragon General is very familiar. The SeaDragon General unleashes Saga's deadliest technique - the Galaxian Explosion and quickly strikes Ikki down. Ikki refuses to believe that Saga is still alive, and demands to know the Sea General's true identity. Kanon takes his helmet off and reveals to Ikki that he is Saga's younger twin brother - Gemini Kanon. Having said this, Kanon unleashes his Golden Triangle attack and sends the Phoenix Saint to another dimension.
Kanon is smiles to himself, thinking that he is finally free to take over the world - however he is confronted by Siren Sorento who demands an explanation behind his motives and the reason why they have engaged in a Holy War against Athena's bronze Saints. He also questions his true identity. However, Kanon quickly dismisses Sorento's suspicions when they notice an extremely powerful Cosmo invade Poseidon's sanctuary (The Sagittarius Gold Cloth had arrived to help Seiya battle Poseidon). and quickly run to their Pillars.
Kanon is once again confronted by Ikki, who was observing Kanon all along. They quickly engage into battle but Ikki gains the upper hand nailing Kanon with his Phoenix Gen Ma Ken and dwelves deep into his mind. From there, much of the story's background is revealed:
- The Mystery behind the Twin Shooting Stars - the connection between infamous Gemini Saga and his younger Twin brother Gemini Kanon. It is revealed here how much Kanon hated his brother for being a fool in not taking advantage of his almost Godly powers, and his hatred for Athena.
- How Kanon was imprisoned under Cape Sunion in a watery jail whose tide always rose up, but he always struggled and finally managed to live
- Kanon's interception of Poseidon's Holy Trident and how he was responsible behind Poseidon's awakening in Julian Solo, which lead to the revival of Atlantis, and the abduction of Athena
- The true method in defeating Poseidon is also revealed - Athena's Holy Jar, the original vessel in which Poseidon's soul was sealed originally for 200 yrs.
After the Kanon revealed everything, including his plans to dominate the lands. Ikki is disgusted and decides to stop the battle. However, Poseidon's TRUE soul awakens in Julian Solo, and soon Atlantis is enveloped in Poseidon's incredible limitless Cosmo. Kanon senses that his plans have being ruined by a couple of weaker Saints and takes his frustrations out on the Phoenix Saint, beating Ikki to an inch of his life. Ikki begins to see that Kanon's cosmo, although weaker than Saga - it shares the same incredible magnitude of power and is quickly overpowered.
Kanon's beatings are soon stopped by Siren Sorento, who did not wish to aid the Phoenix Saint, but at the same time was not going to let Kanon get away with this treachery. A lot of good men died for Kanon's ambition, including 5 of Poseidon's Sea Generals - this was not Poseidon's will, but the wild ambition of a man blinded by greed and his own selfishness. Siren Sorento quickly plays his flute and begins attacking Kanon's brain through his deadly melody - however Ikki tells him to stop and demands to know the true method in defeating Poseidon - Ikki reveals to Kanon that he has a debt to Athena that he could never repay back - it was Athena's cosmo that saved him drowning many times. Kanon is shocked, but he cannot deny the fact that it was Athena's will that saved his life many times before. Kanon divulges the method in defeating Poseidon, but laughs at Bronze Saint's attempt to help his comrades - Poseidon would succeed in drowning this world, and that all is lost. Ikki disgusted with Kanon - labeling him a worthless piece of human trash, and leaves to help his comrades battle an enraged Sea God.
Sorento comments that if Kanon failed to see the errors of his way, then he was indeed just as Ikki described - a worthless piece of human trash. Soon Poseidon is defeated, and since his Cosmo had been sealed - soon Atlantis begins to collapse. The Bronze Saints escaped with Athena, leaving Kanon, with nothing. Kanon only looks in deep despair, empty and completely lost as Atlantis is engulfed underwater. He had lost everything. Atlantis is destroyed, and so was Kanon's dream.
In the Manga: It was Kanon who stood in the way between Poseidon's trident and Athena's defenseless body. Seiya had collapsed from severe lack of cosmo and extreme exhaustion. When Poseidon threw his trident towards Athena - Kanon took the hit in the stomach and "redeemed" himself as a Saint. Similarly in the same fashion as his older twin brother - he committed suicide to save Athena.
The "Other" Gemini
Redemption of the Demi-God
In the Hades arc, Kanon has realized the error of his ways after having his plot with Poseidon foiled by Athena. In the course of that battle, it was Phoenix Ikki who revealed to the younger Gemini the identity of the gentle cosmos he had felt when he was still imprisoned in Sounion -- Athena's. At first, Kanon refused to believe that a then-infant would have the ability to use the cosmos and save him from death, but at the same time, he could not deny that when Saori Kido appeared in the Under Seas Temple, her cosmos felt strangely familiar. In the manga, it was Kanon who ended up taking a would-be fatal blow intended for Athena from Poseidon's trident. In the anime, Seiya shields Athena from the attack, and Kanon merely walks away in the end, commenting that Poseidon has been defeated.
When Athena and her Sanctuary prepared to go into war with Hades -- the goddess's destined opponent that Poseidon had previously hinted at -- Kanon decided that he would finally drop his ambitions and swear in as the Gold Saint of Gemini. At first, the other saints were hesitant to accept him, as Kanon had come to be known as "The Man Who Manipulated Gods" by that point in time. However, Athena was much more forgiving, and allowed Kanon to stay in her palace to protect her. After all, it was the only reasonable reaction, since Kanon managed to pass through all 12 temples and walked right into Athena's bedroom un-opposed. Scorpio Gold Saint Milo, who was idle at the time, finally realized that after Saga blew a giant hole in the Pope's temple. The righteous Milo demanded that Kanon leave Sanctuary at once, if he did not wish to die.
Kanon explained to Milo that he had come to terms with his past and was now a Saint of Athena. Milo berated him and offered Kanon one last opportunity to leave unharmed. Kanon refused, and Milo immediately attacked the former Sea Dragon with his patented move, the Scarlet Needle. Kanon, determined to show his allegiance, remained still and did not lash out. Milo unleashed a second wave of needles, and Kanon still did not budge. A third and fourth wave followed, until a bloody Kanon was now writhing in pain from the holes in his body. Having heard the commotion, Athena herself walked out of her bedroom to plead with Milo to stop. Milo contested that, while their Goddess may have forgiven Kanon for his deeds, the other saints of Sanctuary cannot afford to do the same. The Scorpio stalked towards the Gemini and prepared to release the final blow, the Antares. Determined to gain the trust of the saints, Kanon told Milo that he would receive the Antares to illustrate his newfound dedication for Athena. At the same time, Milo was silently bewildered that Kanon had not once retaliated -- being Gemini Saga's younger brother, Kanon shared the same Cosmo as his older Twin brother and could easily retaliate against Milo, effectively killing him anytime he wanted to. Milo realized that Kanon was indeed taking the Scarlet Needles as penance for the grave mistakes he committed in the past.
Milo unleashed his final blow at Kanon, impaling his chest with one finger. Kanon dropped to the floor in a bloody mess. Milo then turned around and apologized to Athena before exiting the palace. Athena looked over at Kanon, who was now on his knees and recovering -- with tears flowing down his face. It seems that the "final blow" Milo had used on him was not the Scarlet Needle's deadly Antares, but a pressure point to stop Kanon's bleeding. Kanon asks Milo, why he leaving an enemy before the presence of Athena. Milo replied that there were no enemies before Athena, but another Gold Saint - Gemini Kanon - after saying this, Kanon begins to weep. It has seems that Kanon had regained Sainthood and the trust of the Gold Saints again.
Inheritance of the Gold
Prior to being confronted by Milo, Kanon kept watch over the Gemini Temple with the permission of Athena. Because he was unable to physically protect the temple, Kanon used the illusional talents that he shared with Saga to guard over the site. Ironically, it was Saga (along with former gold saints Capricorn Shura and Aquarius Camus) who Kanon had to do battle with in the temple. Using the same tricks Saga had perfected, Kanon created an illusion of himself wearing the Gold Cloth of Gemini to block Saga's passage.
Camus and Shura were baffled as to the identity of the man wearing Saga's Gemini Cloth, but Saga himself immediately knew who it was that dared to don his old armor. The older Gemini urged his two companions to find a way out of the temple as he remained to confront the new Gemini Saint. Saga recalled the time where Kanon had proposed the plan to assassinate the Pope and Athena, and demanded an explanation from his younger brother as to what he was doing in the temple. Kanon simply replied that he had Athena's permission to guard over the site from intruders. Saga scoffed and attacked the illusion -- revealing that, although Kanon was not physically there, the Gemini Gold Cloth was. This confirmed that the cloth had accepted Kanon as its new wearer, and Saga secretly wept with joy -- never in a million years would he thought he would see his "evil" younger brother take up the duties of the Gemini Saint and fight for justice.
Legacy of the Gemini
In the climax of the Sanctuary prelude to the Hades saga, Kanon and Saga finally came face-to-face physically, when, in a symbolic gesture, Athena ordered the younger Gemini to present the older Gemini with the very same golden dagger he had used to try to murder her 13 years ago.
After the events in Sanctuary, Kanon is seen wearing the Gemini Gold Cloth for the first time. Although in the anime, during the Poseidon Arc, it is stated that Kanon wore the Gemini cloth whenever Saga was incapacitated. Since only the two of them knew of this, his proposed ruse of Saga taking the Pope's place and himself posing as the Gemini Gold Saint would surely work. Together with senior gold saint Libra Dohko, bronze saints Pegasus Seiya, Dragon Shiryu, Cygnus Hyoga, and Andromeda Shun, the saints of Sanctuary invaded the World of the Dead in Athena's name.
In the Underworld, Kanon moved on his own and immediately asserted his dominance by trapping Balrog Lune, a substitute judge (for Griffon Minos, the first of three main Judges of Hell) -- and sequentially influential figure --, within an illusion. Only the arrival of Wyvern Rhadamanthys (second of the three main Judges of Hell) disrupted this spell, but by then it was too late -- Lune had already fallen prey to Kanon's attack, and was killed before he could even realize it. Kanon then challenged Rhadamanthys to a battle, with the gold saint seemingly having the upper-hand. This fight was interrupted by the arrival of minor spectres, as well as bronze saints Seiya and Shun. The Bronze Saints celebrated the fact that they had such powerful ally on their side, but Kanon claims he is only involved due to his devotion to Athena. As the fight with Rhadamanthys goes on - Kanon manages to trap the Wyvern Specter under a powerful illusion but its later on released due to the interruption of the arrival of 6 other Specter who challenge the poweful Gold Saint. However, they are no match for Kanon's powerful and immense cosmo and are easily defeated.
Later on, Kanon found himself traveling with Shiryu and Hyoga as they sought out the palace of Hades. On the way, Kanon easily defeated many spectres, including the Deadly Beetle Stand of the Sky Ugly Star, and Lycaon Phlegyas of the Sky Guilt Star. Kanon and Rhadamanthys soon crossed path once again, and Kanon instructed his two bronze saint companions to leave him as he battled the Wyvern. Hyoga and Shiryu obliged, and Kanon fought Rhadamanthys alone. The gold saint proved to be an adequate challenge for the Judge, and a victory was almost secured -- until Griffon Minos and Garuda Aiacos (third of the three main judges of Hell) suddenly arrived on the scene. The two Judges expressed individual interest in battling the Gemini Gold Saint, and soon proved too much for Kanon too handle. He is then tortured by Griffon Minos but its soon rescued by the arrival of the Phoenix Saint aggresive cosmo. It was only after Phoenix Ikki arrived that Kanon was spared from the wraths of the two Judges.
Ikki would go on to defeat Garuda Aiacos, while Griffon Minos retreated to tend to the rumors that one of Athena's saints had become the next reincarnation of Hades. Kanon and Rhadamanthys, both battle-worn, continued to fight to a stalemate. Eventually, 11 of 12 gold cloths gathered together before the Wailing Wall that blocked the entrance to the Elysium Fields -- the place where Hades, the God of the Underworld, resided. The cloths, individually bathed with sunlight, had come together with hopes of producing just enough power of the sun to destroy the wall and open a path. The Gemini Cloth was needed, and Kanon willfully returned it to its rightful owner. In front of the wall, the soul of Saga materialized in full form and donned the Gold Cloth of Gemini once more.
Rhadamanthys taunts Kanon that his only chance for victory had vanished as soon as he had taken off his Gold Cloth. He then goes to seriously injure Kanon, who is without the protection of his poweful armor. Kanon, satisfied at the work he had accomplished, plunged onto the Wyvern with one last kamikazi/suicide technique that propelled both men into the air. The two began to soar into the sky, and Rhadamanthys was shocked that "The Man Who Manipulated the Gods" would perform such a final, sacrificial move. Kanon smirked; this will, at last, allow him to wiped the slate clean from his previous crimes. It was his way to atone for the sins he had commited against Athena and his fellow Saints. The pressure of the atmosphere would soon cook both men into dust, and as the lives of Kanon and Rhadamanthys were erased from existence, a galaxy of planets and stars exploded in tribute.
After his sacrifice, Saga used the Gemini Cloth to destroy the Sighing Wall with the other Gold Saints.

Notes & Trivia
- One of the chapters of Saint Seiya: SD, a humorous series of doujinshi based on the series, loosely featured the lives of Saga and Kanon as told in the true series. It depicted Kanon as a sympathetic character who was forced to turn to evil after doing various good deeds but losing the credits of his work to Saga. In the doujinshi, Saga's evil side was fully awaken, but only appeared sparingly, with Saga himself totally unaware of its existence. In one of the funniest moments of the chapter, evil Saga was shown suspiciously staying past midnight, nailing something to the wall. Kanon, awaken from his sleep by the various sounds of hammer and nails, pushed Saga aside to see what his older brother had been doing. At that moment, the good Saga regained control of his body and discovered what he quickly assumed to have been Kanon's work -- banging nails into a voodoo straw doll with a picture of the Pope on it. Saga was immediately horrified and proceeded to have Kanon locked up in the prison of Sounion -- but only after giving a worldwide press conference on the news of Kanon's apparent "treachery." This was "the last straw" for Kanon, as he snapped while confined his watery asylum, chanting but one line -- "I'll become a god! A god, you see! Yeah! I'll become a god!" *In another chapter of Saint Seiya: SD that spoofed the reunion of the 12 Gold Saints in Hades, Kanon made a small cameo when Saga approached him to reclaim the Gemini Cloth. Unlike the actual series, however, Kanon refused and instead opted to insult Saga with a traditional Japanese crude gesture (the slapping of oneself's ass). In the end, Saga was forced to physically strip Kanon of the cloth, much to the younger Gemini's dismay.
- In the manga, Saga's hair is longer than Kanon's, with emphasis on individual strands. Kanon's hair is wavier and less detailed. This detail is omitted in all versions of the anime, from the Poseidon arc to the recently revived Hades OVAs. But their hair is coloured slightly differently, Saga's hair is lighter and Kanon's hair is darker.
- Before the airing of the Poseidon saga, various promos and merchandises (such as box of the Bandai figure) depicted Kanon with grey hair and red eye -- identical to Saga's evil incarnation.
- In Greek Mythology, Kastor and Polydeuces, twin brothers of Helen, were the origins of the Gemini Constellation. Kaster (Castor in Roman Mythology) was the older brother, and a human son of Spartan King and Queen Leda. Polydeuces (Pollux in Roman Mythology), the younger brother, was a half-god son of Zeus and Queen Leda, and a demigod. Since Kanon was the younger of Gemini brothers, he could also be the reincarnation of Polydeuces, a half-god. This gives a new meaning to the 4th Episode of Hades Chapters - The Redemption of the Half-God. Of course, this would be the ultimate irony, since "The Man Who Manipulated Gods" was in fact, a half-god himself and a half-brother of Athena, and that Saga was the one called a demi-god. Also, during the Hades OVAs, Kanon gave up his cloth in order for Saga to help the other Gold Saint at the Wailing Wall, this is similar to wehn Polydeuces gave up half of his imortality so that Kaster could life again, if only for six moths per year.
- Since Kanon tricked Poseidon into believing he was the Sea dragon general, there's still the question of who was the real Sea Dragon General.
- In the Hades Chapter, while Milo, Aiolia, and Mu were easily defeated by Rhadamanthys due to the influence of Hades' barrier. However, Kanon saw this and waited to reach the Hades' realm, where his barrier was not in place, to fight the Rhadamanthys.
- Kanon's Golden Tringle attack is based on the Bermuda triangle, for him being the protector of the North Atlantic Pilar. It is believed that this place can transport to other dimensions. Kanon makes the opponent slip in between the cracks of time.
- Similar with his older brother. Kanon has never wore the Gemini helmet.
- Kanon is probably the gold saint that killed the most spectres and during numores times in mekai saved the bronzes lifes.
